THAILAND. In a further pointer to the resurgence of the Asian air travel sector Thai Airways International has added three new destinations to its timetable – Milan in Italy, Jihong (Xixongpanna) in China, and Bangalore in India.
Frequencies will also be increased on the Bangkok-London and Bangkok-Munich routes to cater for an increase in demand.
Two weekly flights between Bangkok and Milan and Bangkok and Jihong (Xixongpanna) will start on 1 May and 31 March respectively, while four weekly flights between Bangkok and Bangalore will start on 29 March.
Frequencies have also been increased on the Bangkok-London route with one additional service bringing the total to 13 a week, and Bangkok-Munich, with one additional service bringing the total number to five a week.
In addition AirAsia Thai will launch one daily nonstop between Don Muang and Changi airports. The Bangkok-Singapore route marks the international debut of the airline, an affiliate of Kuala Lumpur based AirAsia.
