The Estée Lauder Companies announces travel retail leadership changes at flagship brand

Raffaella Cornaggia has helped drive the Estée Lauder brand to new heights in travel retail

The Estée Lauder Companies has announced senior personnel changes within the travel retail leadership team for its Estée Lauder brand.

Raffaella Cornaggia has been promoted to Senior Vice President/General Manager, Estée Lauder, International, effective from 1 February. She is currently Senior Vice President/General Manager for Estée Lauder Travel Retail Worldwide, a position she has held since June 2017.

Under her stewardship, the Estée Lauder brand became the number one prestige beauty brand in the world in 2018 (up two positions from 2017), according to Generation Research.

In her new role, Cornaggia will drive Estée Lauder’s brand development, optimise sales, and create synergies across different regions. She will leverage her international experience and strong strategic acumen to lead the Estée Lauder International Division, increase market share and drive continued growth across all of its territories.

The Estée Lauder Companies Global President, Travel Retail and Retail Development Olivier Bottrie said: “Raffaella is a valued and respected part of the Travel Retail Worldwide team, and under her leadership she has led our flagship brand to unprecedented heights.”

Jean-Yves Minet: Strong track record of leadership with the Clinique and Lab Series brands

Jean-Yves Minet, who has held the position of Clinique and Lab Series Vice President Travel Retail Worldwide since April 2017, has been promoted to Estée Lauder Senior Vice President/General Manager Travel Retail Worldwide, also effective 1 February.

In his current role, Minet helped the Clinique and Lab Series brands reach new sales highs since they made their travel retail debuts.

He originally joined The Estée Lauder Companies in 2011 as Estée Lauder Global Market Development Executive Director, before moving to Paris to become Estée Lauder EMEA Regional Business Development Director in 2013.

He was then promoted to Estée Lauder Emerging Markets EMEA Regional Brand Director, before assuming his current position.

Olivier Bottrie said: “Jean-Yves brings a valuable combination of strategic thinking, strong business acumen and operational brand leadership expertise at global, regional and local levels, all of which we are confident will lead to the continued success of the Estée Lauder brand in travel retail.”
