FRANCE. L’Oréal Produits de Luxe International has appointed Yann Cozic Merchandising Director Travel Retail Worldwide.
He replaces Michel Bettenfelt, who retired on 1 July after more than 36 years with the group.
Bettenfelt joined the L’Oréal Produits de Luxe International Division in January 1969 as a mock-up maker for Lancôme.
After several roles within purchasing and POS promotions, he took charge of Travel Retail Merchandising Worldwide in 1986.
“Throughout his career, thanks to his talent and his energy, Michel contributed [hugely] to the qualitative development of the image of the brands of L’Oréal Produits de Luxe International Division in our channels,” commented the company.
Cozic joined the group in February 1982, and began working in merchandising in October 1985. He has been in charge of merchandising for Travel Retail Europe since January 2000.
In turn Cozic will be replaced by Dietmar Haupt, who takes the title Retail Design Department Director at Travel Retail Europe, Middle East & Africa.
