The Macallan has revealed the limited-edition James Bond 60th Anniversary collection.
The collection of six single malt whiskies features distinctive packaging, each featuring an original design and colour to denote the decade it represents.
Each bottle is designed to bring The Macallan’s creative development process to life in a behind the scenes exploration of the James Bond archives.
Created by The Macallan Master Whisky Maker Kirsteen Campbell to reflect the enduring character of James Bond, the collection is described as an ‘expression that exudes a sense of style and maturity which has evolved over the years’. It has a natural colour of Suisse gold and an ABV of 43.7% as an homage to James Bond’s agent number, 007.
The striking set tells the story of The Macallan’s 60 years of innovation and the pioneering attributes of James Bond.
The Macallan Global Creative Director Jaume Ferras said: “This October, James Bond will celebrate its 60th anniversary, making it the longest running and one of the most loved franchises in the world of entertainment, comprising 25 films over six decades and six lead actors over time.
“The Macallan is James Bond’s whisky of choice and as two renowned global brands, we share many synergies, most notably as modern innovators linked by our Scottish heritage.”
The limited edition range is now available from The Macallan online boutique and The Macallan Estate boutique. The release in global travel retail will take place in stages, for example, with an American travel retail roll-out planned for February 2023. The suggested retail price is US$1,007 per bottle.
