INTERNATIONAL. The Moodie Davitt Report has achieved an all-time monthly web traffic high, generating 1,020,146 page views from 1-31 March.
This represents a +70.72% year-on-year increase, according to verified Google Analytics figures (all available to our advertising partners).
Over the rolling 12-month period, The Moodie Davitt Report attracted 1,886,332 total users; 2,724,630 sessions; and 6,989,945 page views, extraordinary results for a B2B media in a niche retail sector.
This represents page view growth of +66.81% year-on-year.
Geographically, the web traffic increase in March was propelled strongly by surging readership in China with sessions up by an extraordinary +669.16% month-on-month.
That success has been driven by strong coverage of the Chinese travel retail market in general and Hainan, in particular, led by The Moodie Davitt Report’s popular WeChat Official Account which now has 2,420 followers. That represents a +63.1% increase over the six months beginning 30 September.
Moodie Davitt WeChat is curated under the direction of Penelope Zhou, our Hong Kong-based Chinese Editor, and company Founder & Chairman Martin Moodie, also based in Hong Kong, China. They are supported by two further staff in Mainland China while a further China-based appointment is imminent.
The Moodie Davitt Report Founder & Chairman Martin Moodie said: “The highly encouraging traffic figures underline our status as travel retail’s key B2B influencer, a position we have reinforced with our highly focused China strategy, our WeChat launch and our successful drive into new regional markets.
“The key has been the quality and regularity of content, driven by seven-day coverage of our sector produced across multiple time zones.
“Just as importantly, and despite the pressures on the travel retail media sector, we remain committed to providing a high-quality, free-of-charge industry service, while ensuring that our direct financial commitment to social causes has actually increased not dropped during the crisis.”
