UK. The Moodie Davitt Report is seeking a Senior Research Manager to boost our coverage and analysis of the travel retail, tourism and aviation sectors. Location is flexible.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working closely with management and editorial staff to conduct, research and modelling of global aviation and travel retail sectors;
- Manage our relationships with key data, research and analyst partners;
- Secondary research on industry/company sources, follow up on key events and report findings;
- Primary research, direct contact with companies and industry experts to enhance quantitative and qualitative information
- Perform strategic value-added analyses and publish period/ad-hoc research;
- Develop digital database and relevant tools for internal use and external sales
Skills required
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in research with proven skills in desk research and trade interviewing
- Extensive analyst experience of retail and tourism-related activities
- Strategic report writing skills and proven track record of writing published research
- Excellent communication skills
- High level of numeracy and experience in quantitative analysis
- Time management and organisational skills
- Tenacity and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
- Editorial skills an advantage
