CHINA. The Moodie Davitt Report has made a substantial donation to the Rulin Elementary School near Haikou on Hainan Island. The funds will be used to buy books for the school that serves a poor rural community.
Rulin Elementary was featured during HNDF Haikou Meilan Airport Duty Free Shop’s fifth anniversary celebrations last December, attended by The Moodie Davitt Report.
At the event the retailer underlined its commitment to corporate social responsibility, revealing a long-term plan to support rural education. Rulin Elementary has suffered from a lack of resources and urgently requires financial support.
The Moodie Davitt Report Founder & Chairman Martin Moodie said: “I was very touched by seeing the inspirational work that this school does, operating on minimal resources. The support given by HNDF Haikou Meilan Airport Duty Free Shop will make a huge difference and we are delighted to add our own contribution.”

HNDF Haikou Meilan Airport Duty Free Shop is a provincial government and private partnership between Hainan Provincial Duty Free Company Limited and HNA Group. It began its offshore duty free shopping business at Haikou Meilan Airport on 21 December 2011.
