US. The Nuance Group has been awarded a contract extension for its duty free retail and news & gifts shops at Las Vegas McCarran International Airport. The contract now runs to 30 June 2012 and represents forecast additional sales of around US$40 million during the extension period, said the retailer.

Nuance trades under the ‘Liberty Duty Free’ and ‘News Travels’ brands at Las Vegas. It currently operates two duty free and two news & gift locations there. The retailer has had operations at McCarran International Airport since 1997.
Clark County Department of Aviation Commercial/Business Development Manager Scott Kichline said: “Nuance has been a responsive and professional organisation to deal with. I am glad that we are continuing our business relationship.”
Richard Rendek, CEO for The Nuance Group in North America, added: “We are grateful for the vote of confidence given to us by airport management and we look towards growing our business at McCarran further.”
