The Nuance Group gains further ground in German market; prepares for debut at Cologne-Bonn Airport – 16/01/09

GERMANY. The Nuance Group has secured a contract to operate two stores at Cologne-Bonn Airport from spring 2009. The stores will feature fashion & accessories and luggage, travel accessories and electronics, respectively. Combined, they cover an area of 350sq m landside, close to the airport’s new central security zone.

A 226sq m CULT concept will offer casual and trendy brands such as Diesel, Pepe Jeans and Marc O’Polo with a broad assortment of men’s and women’s clothing and accessories. The fashion offer will be complemented by a selection of fashion watches and accessories.

Next to CULT, the 125sq m Travel Star concept will offer luggage, travel gear, travel accessories and electronics such as cameras and iPods.

Silke Horemans, Director Real Estate of airport company Flughafen Köln/Bonn GmbH, said: “We are delighted to welcome The Nuance Group at Cologne-Bonn Airport and are looking forward to a strong and successful partnership. The shop portfolio and range of products will attract our passengers and visitors as well.”

The Nuance Group Europe Sales & Operations Director Stephan Salvisberg added: “We are very happy to build a presence at Cologne-Bonn Airport and we will be working closely with our airport partners to design a striking shopping offer tailored to the specific needs of Cologne-Bonn. For us, this is the second airport in Germany we will be operating at, and we are excited to build our understanding of this vibrant and important marketplace.”
