The Shilla Duty Free launches vegan-friendly skincare line My Clarins

ASIA. The Shilla Duty Free has partnered with French skincare brand Clarins to launch the vegan-friendly skincare line My Clarins. It is exclusively available in Asia Pacific travel retail at The Shilla Duty Free stores in South Korea, Singapore and Hong Kong while stocks last.

My Clarins has been designed to target eco-conscious millennial travellers. One of the key formulas in the vegan-friendly range is Clarins’s Healthy Skin [In & Out] Complex, a plant-based coconut water and alpenrose extract blend that keeps vitamins and minerals in and keeps pollutants and impurities out.

With the exception of pore-less and clear-out products, My Clarins is made up of 88% vegan ingredients composed of fruit, plant, flower, and seed extracts. The vegan-friendly collection is packaged with recycled materials sourced from sustainably managed forests. It comes in a punchy colour palette of pink and green.

The Shilla Duty Free Executive Vice President Young Hoon Kim said he expects that the eco-friendly range will resonate with the retailer’s young millennial customers. He said: “We believe that our younger customers will be delighted to find the My Clarins skincare range accessible and relatable to them, as its wide selection covers different needs for a fuss-free skincare routine during their travels.

“The Shilla Duty Free is proud to partner with Clarins, an esteemed skincare brand that understands and caters to the needs of modern customers on the lookout for quality and eco-conscious beauty products that make a positive environmental impact.”

The Re-Boost Refreshing Hydrating Cream and the Re-Boost Comforting Hydrating Cream both quench dry skin, and are infused with fig, acerola seed, and tamarin pulp acids. The former offers a lighter texture, while the latter is enhanced with shea butter. The Re-Boost Mattifying Hydrating Cream is a balance of both textures and comes in a matte-gel formula, infused with pore minimising meadowsweet and strawberry extract.

The Re-Move Cleansing Milk is a micelle-powered lightweight cleanser, while the Re-Move Purifying Cleansing Gel is enhanced with pollution-fighting moringa extract. The Re-fresh Hydrating Beauty Mist can be used as both as revitalising mist and a toner. It is infused with robin flower water and acerola seed.

Clean Beauty Revolution: My Clarins was designed with the eco-conscious millennial in mind

The Re-Charge Relaxing Sleep Mask is a plant-based overnight mask that is packed with plenty of natural hydrating benefits. The Pore-less Blur and Matte Stick absorbs oil and blurs pores with organic strawberry tea fruit extract. Finally, the Clear-Out Spot Treatment offers a cooling gel formula that clears blocked pores, reduces inflammation, and dries out blemishes and imperfections.

Clarins Travel Retail Asia Pacific General Manager Alexandre Callens said that the new My Clarins range perfectly represents the brand’s values of “respecting the environment while selecting only the best that nature has to offer”. He said: “My Clarins is a significant milestone. Further reinforcing the presence of Clarins in the uncharted territory of clean beauty while widening our extensive beauty repertoire.”

“As young consumers become increasingly sophisticated and discerning in their skincare regime, our vegan-friendly and dermatologist-tested skincare solution is set to be a huge step forward in terms of sustainability and consumer-centricity,” he added.
