The Wandering Monkey 3D puzzle plane |
British toy company The Wandering Monkey, which produces toys to keep children occupied and educated during travel, is celebrating the success of its Puzzle Plane. The brightly coloured puzzle that makes a 3D model of a plane has proved a hit since being listed on all BA flights in September.
Company Director Jonathan Corbett said: “Sales on BA are going great; we’re so pleased with them as they are exceeding all expectation.” This bodes well for a listing with Virgin Atlantic (also through concessionaire Tourvest) that began in October and the product’s presence in other travel retail outlets from January, he said.
Corbett told The Moodie Report that The Wandering Monkey is set for continued growth, with a number of buyers demonstrating interest in the range at the TFWA show in Cannes. “Several airlines want us to propose products,” he said.
As well as The Wandering Monkey branded toys, activity packs and games, the company also supplies travel exclusives of other well-known brands including Snoopy, Paddington Bear, Wallace & Gromit, Beatrix Potter, Hungry Caterpillar and Spot the Dog.
