Tiger Beer shows off its Asian mystique at TFWA – 13/05/05

SINGAPORE. Tiger Beer will be sampling its Singapore-brewed premium Asian lager at the TFWA Asia Pacific show in Singapore next week (stand G41).

Described as a European-style lager, Tiger Beer is brewed using the finest natural ingredients such as malted barley from Australia and Europe, hops from Germany and a strain of yeast specially cultured in Holland. Containing 5% alcohol, the smooth, medium bitter beer is coupled with a well-balanced sweetness of malt.

Thanks to its stringent brewing process incorporating 250 quality checks, Tiger Beer has received many awards, including a Gold Medal at the Brewing Industry International Awards 1998 (UK), the Gold Monde International Quality Trophy for winning the Gold Monde Award for five consecutive years, and a Gold Medal in the European-Style Pilsner category at the World Beer Cup 2004.

Tiger Beer was created over 70 years ago by Singapore’s leading brewer, Asia Pacific Breweries (APB), which is jointly owned by Holland’s Heineken and Singapore’s Fraser & Neave. The beer is exclusively brewed in seven countries and exported by APB’s subsidiary, Tiger Export Pte Ltd, to over 55 markets.

In the UK, Tiger Beer received the accolade of a “˜Cool BrandLeader’ from Superbrands Ltd, and has been voted by British male urbanites as one of the top five drink brands.

Tiger Beer is available in different multi-pack (3, 6, 24 units) options and in cans or bottles, to suit the needs of the travel retail and duty free trade. It is brewed and packed by APB’s state-of-the-art brewery in Singapore where S$40 million has recently been invested to boost its packaging facilities.
