Tintamar unveils innovative travel bag that turns into a vest

Tintamar’s Easy Travel Vest Bag

French accessories brand Tintamar, which supplies the Very Intelligente Pocket (VIP) pouch bag, has created a new travel bag that turns into a vest.

Part of the Easy Travel collection and made specially for travellers, the Easy Travel Vest Bag is presented as a zipped pouch which folds out to become a tote bag. The bag then unzips and is transformed into a sleeveless zipped jacket with multiple pockets.

Fabricated in black or taupe high quality nylon twill, the Easy Travel Vest Bag has four large pockets on the front and one across the back which is large enough to hold a magazine, a tablet or a small laptop. Each pocket is lined in a different colour and has a zip closure with a rubber zip tag. A drawstring pulls the vest in at the waist.

The light unisex jacket is designed to be comfortable to wear, trendy in appearance and practical, the company said, leaving hands free when travelling, shopping or sightseeing. It is available in four sizes: small, medium, large and extra-large.

The airline passenger simply removes the vest at the security point without emptying the pockets, lays it flat in the tray and collects it on the other side of the X-ray machine.

After the flight it can be carried as a tote bag and then folded up and tucked into one of its own pockets when not in use.

Tintamar CEO and Creative Director Edith Petit said: “The Easy Travel Vest Bag carries all the items you would normally carry in a handbag or laptop case but because you can wear it, it is much more convenient. The Vest Bag is ready to wear, ready to carry and ready to fly.”

The Tintamar collection, which includes the new Easy Travel Cash, Easy Travel Vanity, Easy Travel Passport and Easy Travel Jewel bag, was exhibited at the TFWA Asia Pacific trade fair in May 2012.
