GREECE. Greece’s largest cigarette manufacturer and exporter Karelia Tobacco Company has announced a +55% increase in export volumes for the first half 2003, on the back of increased market share.
Karelia brands George Karelias and Sons, Karelia Slims and others, increased their market shares in foreign markets while the company further expanded into new duty-free and domestic markets in Northern Europe, the Far East, the Middle East and South America.
For the upcoming TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes, Karelia is preparing to welcome visitors with a brand new stand in a new location in the Palais des Festivals. The new stand location is Stand L71 in the Green Village. The company will also return once again to the Harbour Village with the Yacht Ineke IV in the old Port of Cannes.
With a reputation for having created some of the world’s most distinctive brands, Karelia offers a full range of products in American and Virginian blends, all supported by advertising and promotional campaigns. These include the luxury brand George Karelias and Sons available in Full Flavor, Superior Lights, and Plain Ovals; Origin by George Karelias and Sons has ten specialty cigarettes in a hinged-lid pack; Karelia Slims is available in Regular, Ultima, Menthol Lights and is uniquely slim and feminine in syle. Karelia Lights has a fine Virginia blend with newly redesigned packaging, introducing a new round-corner pack feature. Karelia Royal has the finest Virginia blend taste and uncompromising quality. Wellington is a premium blend cigarette. Lastly, American Legend is an American blend cigarette offering a classic all-American taste.
Karelia will be displaying its full range at the TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes at Stand L71, Green Village.
Also on hand at the show will be representatives of Μeridian, the Athens-based duty free specialist and member of the Karelia Group. Meridian supplies a wide range of the world’s best selling brands of cigarettes, spirits, wines, fragrances and cosmetics to the country’s ship-supply duty free sector.
