CAYMAN ISLANDS. Tortuga Rum Company Ltd, the largest duty free liquor business on the Cayman Islands, has introduced the Tortuga 5yo Gold Rum, now available throughout the Caribbean and Tortuga stores in Grand Cayman.
Packaged in a canister wrapped in a detailed map of the Caribbean, Tortuga 5yo Gold Rum is blended from private stock and bottled exclusively for Tortuga by one of Guyana’s leading distilleries in the Demerara River region.
The sipping rum has already won several accolades: it was awarded a Gold Medal and Best of Category in the 2007 International Cane Spirits Tasting Competition, and a Gold Medal at the 2007 Ministry of Rum Tasting Competition.
Tortuga 5yo Gold Rum is now available in the Bahamas, Jamaica, St Thomas, St Martin and other Caribbean islands. Majestic Distilling imports Tortuga rums in the US and will be adding the 5yo Gold Rum in early 2008.
Tortuga offers over a dozen premium and flavoured rums and Tortuga rum liqueurs as well as major brand-name liquors at its liquor and duty free outlets throughout Grand Cayman.
