Travel Retail Distribution Group has been formed to encompass the brands Advanced Wireless Technologies, Go Snacks and Bluefire Wireless.
The directors of the corporations voted to become part of the group in a restructuring in order to diversify into other categories.
The new umbrella company will comprise all the brands handled by the various companies in the group. The companies, however, will remain as separate corporations and profit centres within the new group.
Explaining the restructure to The Moodie Report, Advanced Wireless Technologies Vice President Marketing & Sales Karen Waters said: “The new company will be called Travel Retail Distribution Group. This company will be at the forefront of the travel retail industry with Go Snacks, Advanced Wireless and Bluefire Wireless. From a marketing perspective, it makes sense for these companies to come under one group name.
“In addition, Foster Grant and Tända will be moved from Advanced Wireless Technologies to a new category within the group called Luxury Lifestyle Brands, therefore giving the group the capability to include brands that fall outside of electronics and food/snacks.”
A new website will be unveiled shortly incorporating the new corporate branding, said Waters, who indicated that the group will announce a Managing Director and several travel retail veterans who will be joining the group and who will be managing the various categories and brands.
New product developments
In new product development news, an expanded range of Tända beauty devices will be on display at the TFWA World Exhibition (Stand number: Yellow Village F57).

The Luminaze Catalytic Skin Tone Illuminator is a targeted treatment for age spots, dark spots, post-acne dark spots and overall more even skin tone. It is described as the first and only product that breaks down melanin in the skin for visibly brighter, more even, luminous skin fast. It is said to be faster and more effective than the leading prescription ingredient and is clinically proven to visibly lighten skin in seven days.
Clinical studies confirm a 15% improvement after eight days where the leading prescription ingredient would show nothing.
