UK. TRG Concessions has opened a Frankie & Benny’s at East Midlands Airport, owned by Manchester Airports Group (MAG), bringing the 1950’s all-American diner to the hub just in time for the busy summer holiday period.
The family restaurant opened in the Departures Lounge on 12 July and is adorned with the brand’s memorabilia and merchandise.
It is open from early in the morning, offering a specially developed breakfast menu that includes free range eggs & bacon, fully loaded bagels and all-American pancakes.

With American and Italian dishes at the heart of its menu, it also offers burgers, fully loaded pizzas, pasta and BBQ ribs, while freshly ground coffee, fruit smoothies and cocktails are available from the bar. The restaurant will remain open until the last flight.
“We are thrilled to be opening our first business at East Midlands Airport, continually strengthening our bond with MAG,” said TRG Managing Director Nick Ayerst.
“We are looking forward to offering a fantastic range of freshly cooked food to passengers by our talented and enthusiastic team of waiting staff.”
MAG Retail Director Beth Brewster noted that the opening of the restaurant came just in time for the peak summer months.
“We want our passenger’s holidays to begin the moment they arrive and what better start than an all-American diner experience in the airport’s newest restaurant?” she said.
“We want to ensure that we offer an increasingly diverse range of retail options for the millions of passengers who use East Midlands Airport and we believe that Frankie & Benny’s will be a huge hit amongst our customers.”
