UK. TRG Concessions has opened a new Giraffe restaurant at Manchester Airport. The 240-cover venue on the Terminal 2 airside mezzanine level is the second Giraffe to open at the travel hub, and TRG’s sixth across UK airports.
The opening is a partnership with Giraffe brand owner Boparan Restaurant Group, which includes Slim Chickens UK, Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Carluccio’s, Ed’s Easy Diner, Fishworks, Cinnamon Club and Wondertree in its stable of food & beverage brands.

The menu in the Giraffe restaurant covers cuisines from across the world. Popular breakfast dishes include Huevos Rancheros, Apple and Cinnamon Pancakes and the Big English Breakfast, while later in the day Fish & Chips, Fully Loaded Nachos, Birria Tacos and Teriyaki Rice Bowls are among the staple options.

Speaking to The Moodie Davitt Report about the opening, TRG Concessions Regional Operations Manager Nadra Squires said: “Giraffe is a perfect example of a family-friendly unit which caters for everyone. We know ‘something for everyone’ is a commonly used phrase, but Giraffe really does achieve that.
“We have a kid’s menu crafted with little ones in mind, lighter dishes for those who don’t fancy anything too heavy before their journey, and comfort classics with a world flavours twist.”

She added: “Our Manchester Terminal 1 Giraffe unit has been a huge success, so this concept seemed like the perfect fit for this space.”
