THAILAND. Registration has closed for The Trinity Forum 2017, to be held in Bangkok next week on 1-3 November.
The Trinity Forum, the world’s most influential airport commercial revenues conference, will be hosted by King Power International Company (Thailand) and Airports of Thailand. The event is co-organised by The Moodie Davitt Report, ACI World and ACI Asia-Pacific.
“We’ve had an amazing response to this year’s Trinity Forum,” said Martin Moodie, creator of the event back in 2003 and Chairman of The Moodie Davitt Report. “We’re sold out. That’s testament, I think, to a number of factors. Firstly, the current and very welcome buoyancy in the travel retail market globally, and particularly in Asia. The business has come a long way from the dark days of early 2016. Secondly, to the respect in which our co-hosts Airports of Thailand and King Power International are held and the marvellous way the latter has developed the travel retail business in Thailand over recent years, culminating in the stunning recent redevelopment of the pioneering Bangkok downtown store.
“Thirdly, I believe that this year’s Trinity Forum theme, ‘How does airport retail remain relevant in a changing world?’ is the burning question of our times for the sector. The future surely lies in the channel being able to embrace the digital world and marry it with the fantastic human, sensory and physical elements that airport stores offer, as well as the latter’s immense travelling populace. By drawing such a strong speaking line-up of travel retailers, e-commerce experts, disruptors and some of the world’s most powerful airports, brands and retailers, I’m confident this year’s Trinity Forum will be a landmark in the event’s history.”
