Tumi has partnered with Berlin-based label Cloud7 to launch its first-ever collection of pet travel accessories.
The Cloud7 for Tumi collection includes a duffle-style Flight Bag, Small and Large Travel Beds and Travel Dog Bowl.
The Spring 2014 collection is available in travel retail locations across Europe, including the Tumi stores airside and landside in Frankfurt airport and the airside stores at Lisbon and Munich airports. It is also sold at Tumi high street stores worldwide and online (www.tumi.com).

“Many of our customers treat their pets as a member of the family, and want to provide them with quality, stylish, and functional products for their travels, just as they do for themselves,” said Tumi Senior Vice President of Brand Management Alan Krantzler.
“There is a dearth of high-quality pet carriers in the market and we think Cloud7 has the same attitude towards their end users as we do about ours – best in class.”
Inspired by the Tumi Alpha Bravo Collection, the items in the range are made from durable, water-resistant fabrics accentuated with washable brown leather details.
Cloud7 Designer Petra Jungebluth said: “Superior functionality and the art of design excellence need not be a contradiction. To me this counts for the global traveller as well as his four-legged companion.”
Designed to fit underneath an airplane seat, the Flight Bag has a removable and washable wool lining, interior leash and pop-up lid that allows the traveller’s pet to poke its head out.
The bag also features a roll-up mesh side window and an expandable side wall plus a leather passport pocket for pets, which require passports in many European countries. The shoulder strap, which doubles as a leash, allows the traveller to keep their hands free.
The Small and Large Travel Beds, meanwhile, have a thin profile and can be easily packed into a suitcase or carried by leather top carry handles. Both sizes also feature wool padding and a leather co-branded luggage tag, monogram patch and leather tab details with Velcro closure.
The Travel Dog Bowl can be unzipped into two bowls for the pet’s food and water. It is made from water-resistant lining and features a leather monogram patch made from Tumi’s Anthracite material that can be personalised.
