Tyko looks to build accessories presence with new Breo sunglasses

With an aim to increase its presence in the fashion accessories category, Tyko Travel Retail will introduce three new collections in its Breo sunglasses range at the TFWA World Exhibition next month (stand number: Green Village K38).

The products – all exclusive to travel retail – are, according to Tyko Travel Retail, “perfect for those who enjoy highly fashionable eyewear, without the expensive price tag”.

Tyko Travel Retail Global Travel Retail Director Martin Lovatt said: “All of our new collections offer great, trendy designs and exceptional value for money. Our recent sales results prove that travellers are not just looking for premium, luxury items in travel retail; they are just as equally interested in good value, fun items that are affordable yet still fashionable.

“All of our new collections are designed around the latest fashion trends, this way we are ensuring that we are up to date with what consumers are looking for in accessories. Breo has proved to be an extremely popular brand for us and we are confident the addition of these new collections will add to its success.”

The Downhill unisex collection, available in two frame colours, is described as Breo’s sportiest to date. Rounded square lenses, straight leg design and durable, lightweight frame are finished in a Soft-TRM finish. According to Tyko, the Cat 3 shatterproof mirrored lenses offer an alternative to polarisation for UV protection and enhanced glare reduction for the eyes. Available in a microfiber carry pouch, Downhill is priced at £25.

The aviator-style frame is the key feature of Breo Flight, a retro collection featuring a new tortoiseshell pattern, a choice of mirrored or smoked polycarbonate lenses and contrasting leg colours. The mirror lenses come in several variations and non-mirrored options include muted red, yellow and charcoal. The range retails from £25 to £30.

Sundown offers an enlarged take on the classic wayfarer frame, taking “the evergreen tortoiseshell into the 21st century”, Tyko said. With mirrored or smoked lenses and coloured legs, the collection is priced from £25 to £30.
