Umdasch lauds recently opened Worldshop concept store at Frankfurt Airport

The Worldshop aims to set a new standard in travel retail with the opening of this flexible store concept

GERMANY. Umdasch The Store Makers has hailed the recent opening of Lufthansa’s retail brand Worldshop at Frankfurt Airport, in partnership with Heinemann.

Located in the Lufthansa First Class Terminal, Worldshop offers a distinctive shopping experience for First Class customers and HON Circle members.

The first-of-its-kind store, which opened in April, features an exclusive showroom for premium travel and lifestyle products, enhanced by adaptable spaces and advanced digital features.

Umdasch oversaw shopfitting and general contracting, integrating digital touchpoints into the store design to drive customer engagement and encourage participation in events such as vernissages.

A leading provider of premium brand products and exclusive luggage, Worldshop and its retail partner Heinemann offer an exclusive store concept with a “feel-good” atmosphere in a shared space. A central metal structure connects the two brands, allowing each to highlight its own design and retail offerings.

Under its tagline ‘Inspiring your world’ the store features immersive travel and aviation experiences, including a flexible, modular design. The shelves can be easily rearranged to suit changing needs, supported by a specially developed upright system that offers maximum flexibility.

The concept features Worldshop’s key luggage collection and other travel essentials 

The shop is equipped with upcycled furniture from the Worldshop portfolio as well as a custom-made furniture system featuring high-quality materials developed specifically for the First Class Terminal.

The space also uses advanced LED technology, focusing on sustainability, supported by its modular capabilities.

Another essential element of the concept development was the multimedia experience, blending product displays with animated content. Moving images and other content skilfully highlight the products, ensuring a seamless, cross-channel shopping experience.

The innovative LED cubes, along with LED screens on the walls and ceiling, create a striking visual effect through synchronised content across multiple displays, giving the store a fresh appearance each time.
