TÜRKIYE. Unifree Duty Free has teamed up with Surgitate to introduce its Care social responsibility campaign in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The programme is designed to raise awareness about breast cancer among female employees, featuring a series of physical training sessions.
The travel retailer has acquired breast prototypes from Surgitate to facilitate these training sessions.
As part of the initiative, informative materials are placed in women’s restrooms at Unifree offices. Women can scan a QR code on the mirrors to access instructions and practice breast self-examinations using the prototypes.
Other highlights of the project include training sessions on how to perform self-examinations, recognise symptoms that may need medical attention and the importance of routine checks.
Unifree Duty Free CEO Korhan Öz said: “Breast cancer affects one in eight women globally, and the age of onset is decreasing. As an organisation with a predominantly female workforce, we prioritise women’s health initiatives.
“Through the Care project, we aim to highlight the importance of early detection and encourage our female employees to perform regular self-checks. This project provides our employees with the knowledge and tools to conduct routine inspections using the prototypes we have provided.”
Care corporate social responsibility campaign underlines Unifree Duty Free’s commitment to supporting women’s health and raising awareness about breast cancer. ✈
