Everrich Duty Free’s latest Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report has been verified by Bureau Veritas (Taiwan), one of the world’s leading certification bodies.
Everrich issued its first Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Report in 2014. Having followed Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards, the company’s ESG report puts the focus on sustainability, with the scope and areas of verification also expanded.

The company’s 2024 Sustainable Development Face-to-Face ESG Report Certification and Sustainable Travel Retail Seminar kicked off with a ceremony highlighting the self-published 2022-23 ESG report.
The seminar focused on two topics – Green Retail and Sustainable Tourism and Hospitality – and was attended by Taoyuan International Airport Corporation Chairman Wei-Fu Yang, Taiwan Tourism Association President Yu-yan Jian and representatives of 36 partner companies.
Long-time Everrich partner Timeless Truth Mask Founder Li Kun-Lin shared insights on the importance of learning to manufacture, sell and achieve sustainability in order to collaborate globally. Other partners also shared details of production origins and packaging to sales, highlighting the significance of responsible production and consumption.
Lion Travel General Manager Xin-Chuan Huang discussed low-carbon travel while Everrich underlined efforts to enhance food safety and the promotion of local ingredients through culinary marketing to showcase Taiwan at airport gateways.

Everrich launched its ‘Everrich 1%’ ESG Action Plan last year, dedicating 1% of its employees’ time and corporate resources towards sustainable initiatives. As of October this year, Everrich employees have organised 543 volunteer activities, totalling 48,192 volunteer hours.
Everrich has offered shoppers loyalty points for not using shopping bags and promoted paperless transactions, and has received Green Procurement Awards from the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Ministry of the Environment. The British Standards Institution has affirmed the travel retailer’s strong commitment to carbon reduction and environmental protection.
The Everrich 1% Sustainable Action Exhibition showcased the company’s ESG initiatives, highlighting its Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Action Award and ‘Asia’s Best Employer Brand Award’ from HR Asia.
Taoyuan International Airport Chairman Wei-Fu Yang expressed his gratitude to Everrich for “making the gateway more vibrant”, noting the company’s standing as an ESG leader in Taiwan travel retail and as a role model for the Airport Alliance.
Everrich Chairman Simon Chiang said: “With our corporate philosophy of ‘Integrity, Professionalism, Innovation, and Public Welfare’ – whether it was ten years ago or after the pandemic – Everrich was the first duty-free operator to publish an ESG report. We will continue to demonstrate the spirit of benefitting others through actions.”
Everrich President Kevin Chiang commented: “As a pioneer in ESG for the global travel retail industry, we are grateful for the support from many partners along the way. Everrich is committed to creating a ‘1%’ sustainable compounding effect and connecting the sustainable value chain through real actions.”
“Everrich will uphold its core corporate philosophy, take on its corporate social responsibility, and work hand in hand with global industry partners to continuously deepen sustainable development,” the company stated. ✈️
