VIETNAM. Privately owned carrier VietJet Air has launched inflight duty free on its international routes to Singapore and Thailand. The launch follows the appointment of King Power Traveler under an exclusive wholesale service supply contract earlier this year.
To celebrate the launch the airline is offering a -30% discount on all inflight purchases until Friday 22 August.
Business Development Manage Desmond Lin said: “We have always wanted our customers to ‘Enjoy Flying’ and now they can ‘Enjoy Shopping’ with VietJet too. We’re proud to introduce a premium in-flight duty free service on international flights and we trust that our passengers will be delighted with the variety of high quality products on offer.”
Product categories offered include perfumes & cosmetics, wines & spirits and jewellery.
VietJet Air is the first privately owned airline to be established in Vietnam.
