Vietnam’s IPP Travel Retail strikes deal to develop new-generation digital retail platform

VIETNAM. In a key sector development, IPP Travel Retail/Duy Anh Trading Joint Stock Company and TEKO Vietnam Technology Joint Stock Company have struck an agreement to develop New Retail, a new-generation digital retail platform.

Under the agreement, IPP Travel Retail will work with VNLife Group subsidary TEKO to develop the model through services including ecommerce solutions; an omnichannel sales system; digital payment solutions; a customer data platform; customer relationship management (CRM) and SMS brand-name.

The powerful CRM system is highly-customisable and integrated with the business platform to provide an overview of the customer base. The customer data platform will help IPP Travel Retail to understand customer needs, and optimise their shopping experience, the company said.

The digital payment solution VNPAY-QR, VNPAY payment gateway provides a variety of safe and convenient payment methods (including ATM/credit card/QR code/e-wallet/installment) integrated with more than 40 banks and 13 e-wallets.

The solutions will be applied by IPP Travel Retail to New Retail for optimising business strategy, improving retailers’ productivity and enhancing customers’ shopping experience.

A statement from the partners said the application of TEKO technology to the sales system of IPP Travel Retail will be the key to helping businesses develop and win the trust of consumers.

A 2021 report lby Google and Temasek highlighted huge growth in online consumption since the COVID-19 outbreak in Vietnam. Its findings revealed that more than eight million people in the country used digital services for the first time and 71% of internet users placed at least one order online.

The solutions will be applied by IPP Travel Retail to New Retail for optimising business strategy, improving retailers’ productivity and enhancing customers’ shopping experience.
