US/CANADA. Shareholders of Vincor International, the world’s eight largest producer and distributor of wine and related products, have approved the purchase of all of the company’s outstanding shares by Constellation Brands. Vincor owns the hugely successful Inniskillin Icewine brand.
The closing of the transaction is subject to court approval in Canada as well as the satisfaction or waiver of the other conditions specified in the agreement between the companies. Vincor said it would seek final court approval on Monday, which could mean the transaction is concluded the same day. Vincor shareholders will be entitled to C$36.50 per share.
