MEXICO/FRANCE. Experienced travel retail executive Virginie Marquet has joined José Cuervo Group in a senior management role.
Announcing Marquet’s appointment, Yiannis Stratos, Regional Director EMEA of José Cuervo International – ROW, said: “I am delighted to announce the appointment of Virginie Marquet to the role of Senior Commercial Manager, José Cuervo International – ROW.
“Virginie will be in charge of managing European duty free and the Middle East, two very important growth opportunities in our EMEA region, as well as managing our business in France, a significant but underdeveloped market for us in Europe. Based in her current home country in France, she will report directly to me.”
Marquet will be responsible for delivering sales growth and also for bringing “some thought, leadership and innovative thinking in our route to market model”, said Stratos.
He added: “Virginie brings great experience from both the duty free channel and international markets to our group, having spent 10 years in various senior duty free and international marketing roles in Lanvin Paris, Altadis Group and Campari International.
“She has achieved great results in her past roles and has been proven to be a hands-on, results-oriented professional; this makes Virginie a great fit to our team.”
