Washington airports set to elevate traveller experience with latest F&B and retail concessions

USA. The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA) is introducing 15 food & beverage and retail brands and concepts at Ronald Reagan Washington National and Dulles International airports.

These concessions represent the latest in the authority’s multi-year programme to redevelop over 80 concessions across both airports.

MWAA Vice President of Marketing & Concessions Jaimini Erskine said, “Having a mix of local and national brands at our airports represents added value for passengers. We continue to seek out new brands that showcase the Washington region experience.”

The airports’ upcoming arrivals include Lego, Brighton and local favourites Mi Vida and Nalley Fresh {Lego rendered illustration courtesy of MWAA}

Upcoming concessions at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport include Lego, Eastern Market, Solid State Books, Monumental News, Starbucks, Mi Vida and Nalley Fresh.

Dulles International Airport offerings will soon feature Plum Market, Brighton, The Goods @ IAD, IAD Express, Capital Supply Co., Starbucks, Relay and Washington Essentials (before security).

Several concessions recently opened at Dulles International, including Ink by Hudson (bookstore), Freshii, Potbelly, Hudson, Brookstone and Market 1962 – a Hudson grab-and-go concept branded with the airport’s opening year.

At Reagan Airport, a Starbucks and Inside the Beltway (essentials store) opened within the last few months. Both airports have also installed around the clock automated vending offering salads, bowls and wraps.

The DCA Reimagined programme is currently underway at Reagan Airport to upgrade Terminal 2 restroom facilities, enhance shopping and dining options and develop relaxation spaces.

The concessions updates will strategically coincide with the infrastructure development to further improve the passenger experience.
