UK. Jonathan Smith of House of Brands and Paul Martin of Lucid Initiatives have entered into a joint venture under the umbrella of House of Brands (Marketing) to distribute the Spanish jewellery brand Majorica in the UK and Ireland.
House of Brands (Marketing) is responsible for the distribution of this well-known brand in both the travel retail and domestic markets.
House of Brands (Marketing) has also taken on the travel retail agency outside the UK for Kahuna extreme sports watches.
In a joint statement, they commented: “We’ve known each other since the early ’80s when we were at Alfred Dunhill together and have always had a friendly rivalry, especially when we were working as competitors with Colibri and Ronson, in the late ’90s. That rivalry will continue as we retain our respective separate travel retail agencies – Lucid Initiatives maintains Frédérique Constant watches and Sheaffer pens, whilst House of Brands continues with Kahuna inflight in the UK and Caran d’Ache writing instruments in UK travel retail, in addition to other business interests.
