IRELAND. Waterford Crystal has chosen The Street, Aer Rianta’s state-of-the-art shopping facility at Dublin Airport, to launch their new Seahorse Crystal Collection. The Stree’ is the first retail outlet in Ireland to house an aquarium filled with live seahorses in various colours, custom-built to celebrate the launch of the new range.
Speaking at the launch this week Aer Rianta’s director of retail Frank O’Connell said, “We are delighted that Waterford Crystal picked The Street to be the first retail outlet to house the seahorse aquarium. It will be a great experience for travellers flying out of Dublin. Waterford Crystal is extremely popular with shoppers on The Street and we look forward to the continued success of the brand with this exciting new range.”
The seahorse aquarium will be featured on The Street from the 12-22 March and will be viewed by an estimated 290,000 passengers who will fly out of Dublin during that period.
The Seahorse Crystal Collection also represents an important branding step for the Dublin-based Waterford Crystal, which has a seahorse featured in its logo. The Waterford Wedgwood luxury lifestyle group is in the process of bringing closer together its diverse range of crystal and porcelain collections such as Wedgwood, W C Designs, Rosenthal, All-Clad, Versace, Buvlgari, John Rocha, Jasper Conran and Paul Costelloe.
