Pandora’s pop-up store in the Departures area of London Heathrow Terminal 5 will trade from 7 July to September |
UK. Leading travel retailer WDF has announced the arrival of its Pandora jewellery pop-up store in the Departures lounge of London Heathrow Terminal 5.
Trading from 7 July to September 2010, the boutique will stock the brand’s largest range of bracelets and charms available in the airport, alongside new collections including earrings and stack rings.
WDF has worked in close partnership with the Danish jeweller to develop the 25sq m concept store, which aims to embody the luxury and exclusivity of a main Pandora store and features a classic white, glass and stainless steel design motif.
The Pandora range spans over 1,200 pieces of jewellery ranging from under £20 to gold items retailing at up to £1,000. It includes the classic Moments collection, comprising charm bracelets and over 1,000 beads, and the new Compose earrings range, which allows customers to create a bespoke pair of earrings by selecting different gems and pendant combinations to add to the earring hoop. Pandora will also be stocking its new stack rings for the first time in travel retail.
The outlet will be manned by an expert team of Pandora staff from Terminal 5.
WDF Head of Fashion Accessories, Souvenirs & Technology Alex Willson commented: “Both WDF and Pandora have worked incredibly hard with BAA to open this pop-up store. There was much competition for this space amongst a variety of different brands and categories, but it shows that jewellery is becoming an ever more important part of the accessories/luxury offer of WDF.
“We have a clear growth strategy for jewellery, and I am delighted that we have been able to closely work with Julian Mullins [Travel Retail Director at Pandora] to move this initiative from paper to reality.”
