UK. Aberdeen Airport is in line for a £1million (US$1.8 million) revamp. The refurbishment will mean more space for departing passengers and a new location for the World Duty Free (WDF) tax and duty free shop.
The changes will be made over the next few months with a trial taking place in the coming weeks. Duty free will be moved from the international departures lounge to a more central position.
Speaking to local reporters a BAA spokesman said: “Over the next few months, one of the most visible projects of the airport’s continuous investment programme will be the first phase of a £1million scheme to optimise departure lounge space.” He said it was too early to give more details on the changes.
