AUSTRALIA. WH Smith has opened two concept stores in Perth Airport’s T1 Domestic Terminal. One features the retailer’s Zoodle brand, while the other operates under the brand gadgetshop.
Zoodle by WHSmith features a selection of children’s books, toys and games; stationery, gifts and gadgets; and a range of treats and snacks. It is located next to the WH Smith News, Books and Convenience store.
Gadgetshop is located across the concourse from the NBC store and features a range of electronic accessories, headphones, technology products and gadgets for all ages. The offer includes own brand gadgetshop products.
WH Smith said the two store format would allow it to offer a wider range of products.
Perth Airport Executive General Manager Commercial Services Scott Norris said: “When our new T1 Domestic Terminal opened in November 2015, it completely changed the quality of offer to our customers. Welcoming WH Smith’s premium outlets – Zoodle by WHSmith and gadgetshop – ensures that our passengers’ travel needs are met in a contemporary space.”
WH Smith Australia CEO Paul Yardley commented: “We look forward to welcoming customers to the stores, in particular children and their families, and hope that they will enjoy the modern design and layout as well as the brands and travel products available.”
