INTERNATIONAL. Women in Travel Thrive has revealed its Signature Match programme aimed at helping women network successfully.
The Thrive initiative was founded by a group of women in the travel sector to help reduce the impact that COVID-19 has on women’s career progression. Its goal is to make connections and open doors for women across the industry through networking events.
As reported, Thrive organised a 3km Virtual Run in support of efforts to empower women in the travel and hospitality industries.
The group’s latest initiative, the Signature Match programme, underlines the role of networking in the workplace. Thrive cited a recent Forbes article which highlighted the importance of “who you network with”.
The programme advises women to “network intentionally”. “Networking is not about just making connections with people who will recommend you for a job; it is about creating long-term relationships with mutual benefits,” Thrive said.

Thrive is also organising a three-day Day of Impact event in June, with a focus on learning, allyship and development.
