XS Lelut unwraps first travel retail toy store at Helsinki Airport

FINLAND. Finnish toy retailer XS Lelut, in partnership with Helsinki Airport operator Finavia, has opened its first travel retail store.

The 110sq m store – located in Helsinki Airport’s Schengen area, next to gate 21 – offers some of the brand’s most popular toys, games and accessories, as well as Finnish destination merchandise.

XS Lelut [Lelut is Finnish for toys -Ed] is a leading toy retailer in the Baltic countries and beyond, operating over 50 premium toy stores across Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Latvia, Lithuania, Republic of Georgia, Slovenia and Uzbekistan.

The store design, notable for its 20-metre shopfront, is “bright, transparent and conveniently accessible for customers”, XS Lelut says

Many of the XS Lelut products are designed in-house. The retailer also stocks licensed ranges, many based on TV/film and online content-based characters.

XS Lelut Head of Retail Janis Jasenovics told The Moodie Davitt Report: “The store is designed to cater for both international and domestic passengers – the product range has been thought out to satisfy the needs of customers on the go.
