FRANCE. YSL Beauté has unveiled a new, limited-edition fragrance from designer Oscar de la Renta, called Oscar Pink Lily. It will be available in travel retail from 15 January.
The fragrance reflects de la Renta’s well-known passion for flowers, and was reportedly inspired by his gardens. The original Oscar – a soft, floral juice – celebrates its 30th anniversary this year.
Oscar Pink Lily follows on from Oscar Citrus, Oscar Violet, Oscar Bamboo and Oscar Tropical Flower. Like its predecessors, it targets a younger market.
As its name suggests, pink lilies are a key ingredient, complemented by notes of magnolia, bergamot, violet leaves, tea rose, rhubarb, amber and cedar wood.
The flacon is a sculpted pink glass that echoes the silhouette of a flower’s corolla (the inner petals). The cap is coloured acid-yellow.
Oscar Pink Lily is available as a 60ml edt spray. It will be priced in travel retail at around €32.
