CHINA. In a spectacular display on 23 December the façade of The Mangrove Sanya Resort Hotel in Haitang Bay, Hainan was lit up with a film projection of Libre, the Yves Saint Laurent eau de parfum.
The light show, attended by over 200 guests and key influencers, featured a countdown to inaugurate the projection of the women’s fragrance and its brand ambassador Dua Lipa on the building façade.
Moments before the show, key influencers joined hands with management from L’Oréal Travel Retail Asia Pacific and China Duty Free Group for a fireworks countdown under a giant three-metre high YSL logo decorated with Libre fragrance bottles.

Guests later celebrated the occasion with a series of retailtainment activities. These included discovering YSL holiday beauty looks from professional makeup artists; an interactive digital graffiti wall that echoes the spirit of the Libre fragrance; and an ingredients zone intricately built with lavender and orange flowers to illustrate the top, middle and base notes of the bold and floral fragrance, Libre Eau de Parfum.

“With our iconic Libre Eau de Parfum’s first-ever light-up celebration show in Sanya, we wanted to offer consumers the goldest and most bold celebration – the perfect holiday gesture,” said L’Oréal Travel Retail Asia Pacific General Manager of Makeup Business Unit Youssef Benkirane.
“With the YSL Cassandra tree light-up ceremony and Libre’s illumination across the Sanya skyline, we wish you all a joyful and memorable festive season.”
