Yves Saint Laurent’s new Le Teint Touche Éclat |
Yves Saint Laurent (YSL) has extended its cult Touche Éclat highlighter with a new foundation, called Le Teint Touche Éclat. It is being previewed this month in the UK and Ireland, and will be rolled out to travel retail worldwide from August.
Created in 1992, one Touche Éclat is sold every 10 seconds. YSL has harnessed and updated its technology to create a new illuminating foundation – free from opaque powders – that is said to even the complexion, erase imperfections and accentuate natural facial features.
The foundation formula features a soft focus gel and a fluid light concentrate, to deliver a natural-looking and sophisticated glow, according to the brand. It is available in 22 shades (organised into three key “families”) which are said to deliver a customised finish for all skin tones.
The foundation is presented in a sleek glass bottle crowned with a gold-coloured cap that references the original Touche Éclat packaging. It is complemented by a foundation brush designed by YSL Creative Director Make-up Lloyd Simmonds.
“I wanted a foundation that gives the entire face a lively, vibrant light that embellishes every woman,” Simmonds explained. “The result is far beyond my hopes. The product has all the spirit of the iconic Touche Éclat. It transforms shadow into light all over the face.”
