FRANCE. Parfums Yves Saint Laurent has extended its designer fragrance portfolio with two new scents: Stella Rose Absolute from Stella McCartney, and MyQueen from Alexander McQueen.
Stella Rose Absolute Eau de Parfum Intense (left) was launched into travel retail this month. It is available as a 50ml spray reference, priced in the channel at €51.20.
The original Stella scent was launched on 13 September 2003 – on McCartney’s 32nd birthday.
Like its predecessor, the new version is based around notes of rose, including Bulgarian Rose, Centifolia Rose and Dadès Rose.
The fragrance flacon is an updated version of the original, amethyst in colour, like the outer carton.
Meanwhile, Alexander McQueen is expanding his reign with MyQueen, which is available now in UK travel retail.
The designer’s debut fragrance, Kingdom, was launched in 2003.
Described as a “kaleidoscope of scents”, the juice opens on notes of Parma violet and sweet almond, leading to a heart of orange blossom absolute, white musk and heliotrope. The base is a blend of Florentine iris and vanilla.
The violet-coloured flacon has been designed to evoke a talisman, such as a crystal ball or jewelled egg. The extract version features a ground glass stopper in the style of a fairy’s wand.
The outer carton is a textured violet/lilac mix, and bears the faint imprint of the bottle within.
The MyQueen product line-up includes a 30ml, 50ml and 100ml edp, priced at £23.20, £32.80 and £44.80, respectively. There is also a Velvety Body Lotion.
