YSL’s Forever Youth Liberator line will be extended with an Eye Zone Serum in September |
Yves Saint Laurent (YSL) has extended its Forever Youth Liberator skin care collection with a new Eye Zone Serum. In line with its status as a flagship franchise for the region, the line will make its debut in Asia Pacific travel retail in September, before rolling out to the Americas in January 2013, followed by Europe, the Middle East & Africa next February.
In a recent interview, L’Oréal Luxe Director Travel Retail Asia & Pacific Eva Yu told The Moodie Report: “[YSL] is a very strategic brand for us, and this latest skin care launch has so far been amazing, We see this as a unique opportunity for YSL to establish itself as a complete three-axis brand. We are known more for our make-up and perfume than our skin care. But this powerful new launch will help us to be strong in each category.”
As previously reported, Forever Youth Liberator harnesses the discoveries of Glycobiology, described by MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) as one of the 10 sciences that will change the future of medicine. Glycobiology represents a decisive breakthrough in understanding biological mechanisms. Specifically, glycans are found most commonly on the surface of cells. They are essential to their binding and play a crucial role in cutaneous equilibrium.
However, their level diminishes over time, leading to the “locking” of the cells. YSL has identified an innovative combination of glycans, called Glycanactifâ„¢, which unlocks the cells to reactivate their vital functions and release youth-promoting messages at all levels of the skin. This breakthrough complex is said to recreate glycans lost with age, and promote the synthesis of matrix components of the skin architecture, as well as skin regeneration mechanisms.
Forever Youth Liberator Eye Zone Serum is claimed to be the first eye contour serum to contain Glycanactifâ„¢. It is designed to counteract all signs of eye area ageing, including frown lines, and wrinkles around and below the eye.
On application, the eye contour area appears to be “lifted”. After just three days’ use, wrinkles are reduced, puffiness is diminished and dark circles are less noticeable, according to the brand. After one month’s use, the eyes are redefined and eyes appear larger and younger, wrinkles are reduced, eyelids are lifted and the eyes look radiant, YSL claims.
Forever Youth Liberator is presented in a bottle complete with dropper applicator to ensure a precise dosage.
