Zhuhai Duty Free marks regional expansion with departures store opening at Guangzhou Nansha Port

CHINA. Zhuhai Duty Free Group has celebrated the official inauguration of its departures duty-free store at Guangzhou Nansha Passenger Port.

The opening marks a key expansion of Zhuhai Duty Free Group’s cross-regional port duty-free operations in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, reinforcing its presence and contributing to the ongoing commercial upgrade at Guangzhou Nansha Passenger Port.

Since its opening in 1992, the port has played a key role in promoting the interconnection between the city clusters in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

This interconnectivity was enhanced considerably when the Hong Kong International Airport route was officially resumed in March last year.

Its strategic location has made it a vital maritime connection between Hong Kong and mainland China, handling a steady flow of daily passenger traffic.

Located in Guangzhou’s Nansha District – a region focused on becoming a global centre for shipping, trade, innovation, finance, and science and technology – the port is well-placed to meet growing international demand for duty-free products due to its thriving environment.

Looking ahead, Zhuhai Duty-Free Group underscored its commitment to “high-quality, diversified” business philosophy.

Leveraging its mature supply chain system and extensive experience in brand resources and duty-free operations, the group noted its plans to innovate in product sourcing and operational models.

This strategy will more efficiently introduce high-quality duty-free products, enhance product variety, accelerate product updates and meet the increasingly diverse consumer demands, the company noted.

The group also highlighted its focus on continuously improving the service quality of its port duty-free stores, offering an enhanced shopping experience. ✈
