SINGAPORE. William Grant & Sons has partnered with Lotte Duty Free and Changi Airport Group for the global travel retail launch of Wildmoor Blended Scotch Whisky.

The whisky is being promoted via an exclusive Changi 1st pop-up experience running from 13 April to 23 May. It is located in Terminal 1 Departures.

Three Wildmoor expressions are available in global travel retail: Wildmoor Waking Forest 23 Year Old, Wildmoor Tropical Coast 30 Year Old and Wildmoor Black Mountain 40 Year Old.

As reported, The Moodie Davitt Report Brands Director Hannah Tan-Gillies was on location for a special tasting event with Wildmoor and William Grant & Sons on 29 April at the 1 Hotel Mayfair, London.

“Each sip is a testament to time and tradition, offering a taste of true luxury that can never be fully reproduced” – William Grant & Sons Regional Malts Brand Ambassador for Southeast Asia Jyri Pylkkänen

The immersive activation space transports travellers to the rugged landscapes of the Scottish countryside from which Wildmoor takes its inspiration. The multi-sensory space invites travellers to escape into a biophilic oasis through sights, sounds and touch culminating in a whisky-tasting and food-pairing experience at the pop-up bar.

For every purchase, travellers are treated to exclusive gifting with complimentary personalisation so they can bring a taste of the wild home with them.

William Grant & Sons Regional Malts Brand Ambassador for Southeast Asia Jyri Pylkkänen commented: “Wildmoor transcends the typical whisky experience. It is a carefully curated journey through Scottish whisky history through the meticulous sourcing of exceptionally rare and high-aged whiskies.

“Each sip is a testament to time and tradition, offering a taste of true luxury that can never be fully reproduced. We are incredibly proud of what we’ve created and are excited to share this with the world.”

Travellers can nose the smells of the forest, coastal and mountain landscapes that have inspired the Wildmoor 23, 30 and 40 Year Old expressions respectively

Wildmoor Waking Forest 23 Year Old (RRP£148) marries virgin oak and sherry oak flavours inspired by Scottish forests. It has smooth vanilla notes with a rich sweetness and mellow finish.

Wildmoor Tropical Coast 30 Year Old (RRP£340) was inspired by the north-western coastline of Scotland in the summer. It is finished in Caribbean rum casks and offers fruity and sweet flavours with rum spices.

Wildmoor Black Mountain 40 Year Old (RRP£800) draws inspiration from the towering mountains of northern Scotland. The intense whisky blends rare grain and Highland malts together with Ghosted Distillery stock. The whisky is deep, rich and elegant and finished in a Pedro Ximenez cask.

The three whiskies will be available from the end of May in selected doors globally. These include London Heathrow with Avolta, Thailand with King Power Group, China with Lagardère Travel Retail and China Duty Free Group and South Korea with Shinsegae Duty Free and The Shilla Duty Free.

WGS Global Travel Retail Head of Brand Marketing Gwilym Cooke added: “For us to bring Wildmoor to life in Changi Airport is something we’re absolutely delighted about.

“We chose Changi for the debut because it is one of the key hubs in the region in terms of offering truly memorable experiential campaigns. We were able to secure the right location and right space to bring Wildmoor to life. At the heart of everything we do is the tasting. The number one touchpoint we have is getting liquid to lips and that is the same in Changi as it will be in Heathrow and our other pop-up locations.” ✈
