INTERNATIONAL. Several new companies have joined forces with The Moodie Report.com to promote their brands via the internet to the travel retail channel.
Ambitious UK-based sunglasses specialist Fabris Lane, which handles a range of owned and licensed brands in travel retail, has taken a major position encompassing the website’s home page and fashion & accessories page.
The company has used a vibrant series of rotating images to showcase its brands, including Fabris Lane, FCUK, Ben Sherman, MUK and Animal.
Also joining The Moodie Report.com is Swiss Delice, one of Switzerland’s top premium chocolate makers. Swiss Delice has created The Moodie Report.com’s first pop-up visual, which can be found on the confectionery and fine foods page.
Allied Domecq has used the spirits & wines page of the site to display a striking image of the company’s relaunched super-premium gin, Crown Jewel from Beefeater.
The Moodie Report publisher Martin Moodie said he was delighted such prestigious brands had chosen to partner with the website. “The impressive thing is how these companies are harnessing the visual and communication potential of the web, using a range of techniques and links to get the power of their respective brand messages across.
“We experienced successive daily traffic highs last Thursday and Friday, followed by our highest-ever Monday, this week, which shows that The Moodie Report.com is now well on its way to fulfilling its mission to become “˜the home page of the travel retail industry’,” he said. “On our record day (Friday), we received visitors from 49 countries with a very high rate of “˜stickability’ (number of pages accessed per visit).
“We’re passionate about the quality and immediacy of our content and our plans for the next 12 months will see the site move to a whole new level.
“The surge in traffic allied to the investment of our new brand partners, together with the fantastic renewed commitment of names such as Estée Lauder Companies, Inniskillin, Dubai Duty Free, Pernod Ricard World Trade, Alpha Retail and Scorpio Distributors underlines the industry’s belief in the reach and influence of The Moodie Report.com.”
