UK. Montine watches have gained important listings with Duty Free Shop in Mauritius and with Hoverspeed in the UK (for both seaport and onboard sales).
Montine, formerly one of duty free’s strongest watch brands, was relaunched last year by its new owners, Montine International.
Managing director Sam (Michael) Gathani said the whole range has been revamped with modern packaging and accessible price-points. “We’re delighted to have been listed by two leading retailers in different parts of the world and we’re confident of further breakthroughs soon,” he said, adding that several international airlines are considering listing the brand in their next brochures.
The watches are represented in duty free by Omnida (run by former Air 2000 duty free executive Tina Sanders) as International Sales Director. Additionally the company has appointed Anyway Marketing Services to handle the brands in the UK & Ireland. Gathani said he is looking for appropriate representation in the Americas and Asia.
