ESTONIA/FINLAND. Tallink-Silja Line has pledged “a new cruising experience” for passengers on its Tallinn-Helsinki route following the launch last week of the M/S Baltic Princess, its new €165 million cruise vessel.

The Baltic Princess enters service this summer and replaces the cruise ferry M/S Galaxy, which will be rerouted to the Turku (Finland) – Stockholm (Sweden) route and the M/S Festival to the Stockholm (Sweden)-Riga (Latvia) route.

“When delivered, the Baltic Princess will thus mean a new ship not only for the Tallinn-Helsinki route, but at the same time for three routes, when rerouting the two vessels,” said Tallink Group board member Keijo Mehtonen. “We are looking forward to offering new cruising experiences for all of our passengers,” he added.

The 212m long and 29m wide Baltic Princess will be one of the biggest cruise ferries in the Baltic Sea, with capacity for 2,800 passengers. It houses a 1,200sq m retail area which includes a main shop and several boutiques, a number of restaurants and a conference centre with over 450 seats.
