SINGAPORE. The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) officially opened a new multi-media entertainment zone at Changi Airport today.
The entertainment zone, which is located on the third level of Terminal 2’s Departure Transit Mall, was officially unveiled by CAAS Director-General and CEO Lim Kim Choon.
It features a free Local Area Network (LAN) gaming room, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 game consoles, music corners, a free movie theatre and a comics and games collectibles shop.

Commenting on the opening Lim said: “The Entertainment Deck was conceptualised to converge various popular multi-media facilities into one dedicated area for passengers. As travellers ourselves, we understand how passengers appreciate the range of complimentary facilities available in Changi Airport. The Entertainment Deck is part of CAAS’s efforts to constantly review and upgrade facilities to enhance the “˜Changi Experience’.”
As part of the launch, eight passengers were invited to participate in a ‘face-off’ on Playstation 3’s FIFA 2008. The winner received a PlayStation 3 games console and the runner-up was rewarded with a PSP (PlayStation Portable).
