ITALY. Italian eyewear specialist Marcolin has renewed its licensing agreement for the design, production and worldwide distribution of Montblanc frames and sunglasses.
The three-year extension of its licence with the upscale German brand is expected to strengthen Marcolin’s position as one of the world leaders in the luxury eyewear business.
“Thanks to the exceeding of the agreed turnover target, the relationship has been automatically extended through 31 December 2011 with terms and conditions in line with those included in the current agreement,” Marcolin said.
Commenting on the deal, Marcolin Style & Licensing Officer Maurizio Marcolin stated: “We are extremely proud to continue the partnership with Montblanc, an exclusive brand that combines class and tradition, refinement, quality and innovation. The excellent results achieved, confirm our talent in developing eyewear collections for luxury brands that require refined design, top quality and utmost attention to detail.”
The Italian eyewear company began its business relationship with Montblanc in 2001.
