NEW ZEALAND. Auckland Airport today announced that the HSMC-AIAL joint venture arrangement with HMSHost is to be restructured to form a new standard concession arrangement for some of the food & beverage services operated by HMSHost at Auckland Airport’s International Terminal.

Auckland Airport General Manager Retail & Commercial Adrian Littlewood said: “Auckland Airport has been part of a very successful joint venture to provide food & beverage services for over 20 years.

“The decision to put in place a standard agreement is consistent with our strategy to work proactively with all our retail and food & beverage partners to help them provide an outstanding service to international passengers.”

“By entering into a traditional concession arrangement with HMSHost we can focus on ensuring an outstanding passenger experience across the entire airport, and we can support HMSHost in its ambitions to provide a high-quality food & beverage experience that meets many market needs, from mass market to high-end, with a focus, where possible, on quality New Zealand brands.”

For international passengers there will be no immediate changes. However there will be an exciting new range of food & beverage offerings coming over the next few months, the airport company promised.

The new concession arrangement with HMSHost begins this month.
