StyleMark signs eyewear licensing deal with BMW

SWITZERLAND. StyleMark AG, the parent company of Polaroid Eyewear, has signed an eyewear licensing deal with German automobile company BMW.

Under this exclusive agreement, StyleMark will manufacture and supply BMW-branded sunglasses and optical frames for distribution via StyleMark China, which has been operating in the Chinese Mainland market since 2008.

The first collections will be shown to travel retail buyers at the TFWA Asia Pacific exhibition in Singapore next month to test their suitability for this sector (Stand number: M5).

Every pair of BMW eyewear will feature the BMW logo on the temple arms

High technology design

BMW Eyewear is made from the latest high technology materials with aeronautical titanium and TR90 polymer frames that are said to be tough, durable but still lightweight and comfortable to wear.

The frames translate BMW design from the world of automobiles to create powerful, dynamic, premium eyewear styles, StyleMark said. Every pair features the BMW logo on the temple arms.

The premium collection is particularly good for drivers, giving optical clarity in all light and weather conditions while minimising eye fatigue, the company added.

“We are delighted to have signed this exclusive partnership with BMW,” said Polaroid Eyewear (StyleMark AG) Global Marketing Manager Jerry Dreifuss.

“Both our companies have an illustrious history of innovation, high technology and high quality products and we are happy that BMW has realized that we have the right expertise, design capabilities and quality assurance expected for a high premium eyewear brand. We see great growth potential at this higher end of the market over the next few years – particularly in the travel retail sector,” Dreifuss added.
